I have been bitching about my hair lately. It's too long. I tend to procrastinate, so I really need hair that is easy to deal with, and long hair just isn't. But Jethro likes it long. And really, what else do I have to do in life but keep him happy?
But I've bitched about it anyway.
This morning, as I was brushing my teeth, Jethro came up behind me and started gently brushing my hair. He said, if I would keep it long, he's help me brush it. It was so romantic. Until he encountered a tangle.
"What the heck is this?"
"IT'S NOT SPERM!!!" I shouted in reference to one of Jethro's former roomates who used to categorically deny the hard crust on his bed was anything other than vanilla ice cream.
Just one of the many twisted ways in which we live our lives.

A few months ago, I handed Tommy the scissors and told him to whack it off. One cut, I went from long to short, and I love it!
Now, even if I do get "tangles" it's not hard to get it out....

Short hair typically needs styling--and more time.
Or so I keep reminding myself when I want "THE BIG CUT".
Maybe just short enough to not get the "vanilla ice cream" in it??!!

Angi - Jethro won't do it and as I'm not losing weight right now, I don't feel like I can give it up.
Brighton - That is always a possiblilty, but I think it was more the result of trying to brush it in the car and Jethro telling me it looked ok.

I hate having long hair... the tangles, how much shampoo I go thru.... Although, being able to pull it back isn't so bad, I suppose.... *sigh*

Long hair does suck, especially in this climate where it's been in the upper- to mid- 90s every day for the past few weeks. And last night, the wind died down and I've been told it's not coming back till sometime in May. French girlfriends & I were sweating buckets at a free concert last night, and the only respite is an hour or two a day at the air-con radio station.
We're baking to bits on this Cambodian plain, about as far away from any ocean as you get in this part of the world..
Right now, I could pull out every single follicle and would probably be much happier. And the Man would still lie to me and say I was sexy.

That would be why I'm teaching BigEd how to brush hair...so that that doesn't happen...
...also because I learned at a young age that grown men (daddies) HAVE to know how to brush their daughter(s)'s hair just in case mommy's away........

And, really, the only bad thing about the long hair is the freshlyfucked tangles...I need roughly an hour and a half to detangle...but, hey, it's worth it!!
And RA is right; it *is* expensive with the massive amounts of shampoo....but that's why ya buy in bulk! and LOVE sales

Take it from someone that made the mistake of cutting 14 inches off in one foul swoop...long hair is much easier to deal with! With long hair you can pull it back on a bad hair day, but a short, sassy style must be done to leave the house!
