Nothing Coherent

I'm with Jay. I also don't love scary movies. Loathe them, despise them, detest them. People are always telling me I have to see the Sixth Sense or The Others or something else equally terrifying, to which I reply, "If it wouldn't be too much trouble, please attach your oral orifice to my rock hard derriere (hat tip to Jay's ass there). Thank you. Maybe you enjoy lying in bed, stiff as a board, with wide, bloodshot, staring eyes wondering just how you are going to meet your demise, but personally, I'd rather masturbate myself to sleep." Was that too much information? Lick me.

My problem with scary movies isn't gore or even ghosts. It's Entities That Move Or Make Sounds In Ways They Ought Not. Nothing creeps me out more and I don't enjoy it. But I know so many horror movie addicts that love that feeling. Personally, I think it's a substitute for religion. DEAR GOD LET ME FEEL SOMETHING EVEN IF IT IS HORROR AND FEAR.

New Topic:

That song Third Grade Romance by Kenny Chesny makes me laugh. I never paid any attention to the words until recently. I don't know why I didn't, but it's funny. However, like anything I pay attention to, it made me think. Take cover.

I wondered if I would ever have had the guts to have an illicit, single-evening affair if I hadn't hooked up with Jethro. Somehow, I don't think so. The only sexual courage I have is derived soley from being married. Lucky Jeth. Other than that, I'm petrified (sexually) of people I'd only want to fuck for a night.

Okay. Dangerous subject. I don't want to talk about it anymore. But feel free to discuss.

New Topic:

Not to be viewed at work of if you have a weak stomach or are a straight man who has intentions of ever fucking a woman again (or for the first time if you should be so unfortunate). BUT. If you can ignore what is so extremely wrong with the picture, I think the outfit is kind of pretty (hat tip to Spare White Guy). A large (1024 x 768) version of this picture is available for premium members.

This is the only reason scary movies never bother me: Watching some horny teenagers fuck during Scream 3 ruins any thought of fear during scary movies.

I can still remember the fear of crawling up to the top bunk,on the bunk beds I shared with my sister, as fast as humanly possible do to the fear that something was going to jump out of the closet and bite me on the butt. My little sister LOVED scary movies, and mom would let her watch them. My shear curiousity would always pull me into the room for at least a few minutes, and the first time something would jump out or scream, I would tear out of the room screaming bloody murder. There was some stupid movie she was watching on her 7th birthday (so I was 9), that scared me soooo badly, that she had me believing there was a vampire living in our closet and it wanted to bite my butt and drink my blood as I got into bed. I still hate her for permanently damaging me. I still cannot go to sleep until I check my closet, turn on the closet light, and then close the closet door.

A lot of Japanese scary movies, like Ju-On, The Grudge, The Ring 1 and 2, and The Eye, and there's like a whole whack recently, but I find them way more scary then their American counter-parts. Dawn of the Dead, and etc, not scary at all? Why? Super Zombies and gore tactics only surprise not scare. Shock and Awe may work in wars, but seriously in movies it sucks.

Here's an example:

Resident Evil:

HOLY FUCK HE JUST DECAPITATED HIM! That was cool.

The Ring:

Oh my god... I don't want to answer the phone.. Oh my god did you turn on the TV? because I didn't.... AHHHHHH!!!!

The Japanese film are more psychological thrillers using everyday objects and twisting them into something evil and horrifying and makes you uneasy just walking in your own house.

I like your theory on why some people feel the need to watch scary movies. I'm going to use that same justification the next time someone calls me a pussy for my being scared of roller coasters.

AAahhh! The Ring was the scariest movie I've ever seen. You know something? I hadn't made the connection between all of these recent absolutely horrific flicks (Japanese) before. That's pretty cool.

the outfit was nice, too bad it was being worn by the "wrong" sex, bah! now my eyes need to be gouged out, thanks .

Now I have to have lots more sex with all available women within a 300 mile radius for a few days to wipe that mental image... or maybe just one really really hot one.... any takers?

my fave horror flick is the old Frankenstein with Boris Karloff as the Mary Shelly creature, a true cinema classic. it will never be topped in my opinion. Although Alien comes close for sheer drama and for bringing in a totally new never seen before creature type since Forbidden Planet (1954) starring Leslie Nielsen as the ships captain. The ID of the planets former denizens was truly frightening in a way thats too deep and dark to understand the full meaning and depths of our psyche. What havoc such an all powerful gollum emanating from our own minds could wreak upon us all.

I'm having a great day ! how bout you guyz ! ?

Scary movies are horrible things, as are sad movies. If I've got two precious hours of free time to kill, the last thing I want to do is engage in an activity that will make me scared or sad. Seems so obvious.

I can enjoy a "scary" movie when the plot has other merit to it, like the 6th Sense or the Others, but when there is no purpose to it at all other than to TRY to scare (and none of them ever scare me anyway), it just bores me to painful tears. And I think those people who can ONLY watch scary movies and find no entertainment in anything else like comedy or drama, are people with serious issues.

That photo was just wrong. Luckily for me, post-traumatic stress has blanked it out of my memory. Cheaper than therapy.

Ren - The Scary Movies were funny.

Inanna - I have no plans to see that movie, but thanks for the warning.

Jen - You and me are both similar in our dislike of horror flicks. Remember watching Warlock?

Danny - The Japs are just messed up. All their shit scares me.

Gooch - I never thought about it in terms of roller coasters. But have at.

Trash - You don't scare me.

Kat - Thanks for the warning.

Seven - sorry man. I hope you didn't feel the need to pour bleach in your eyes.

Mike - Thank you. Spot on.

Ciggy - I know what you are saying, but they are just not for me. Something screaming unnaturally and twisting their bodies into unwholesome positions are liquifiyingly scary to me. The gorefests don't bother me, but I consider them wastes of precious time.

Jethro - Was not the warning explicit enough? I really thought it was.

JP - You believe in gay marriage - you can handle it. Just know that if it's ever legalized, many more of those things will be sold.

Angi - Wasn't it gross?

Jay - Never saw it either. Even the previews made me nervous.

Somehow, I don't think the guy is gay. Call it intuition, but I think he is a straight guy who is weird.
