Does Wayne Brady Hafta Choke A Bitch?

I received an email today from a woman looking for property whose email address contained the word "bitch." I almost deleted it. Yes, I very nearly discriminated. And I'll tell you why. If you refer to yourself as that in any capacity, I am going to assume that either a) you are unprofessional or b) you really are a bitch. In either case, I don't want to work with you.

Not being independently wealthy however, I can't afford to go around deleting leads no matter how odious they seem. But it isn't a good way to begin a business relationship.

I'm going to be brutally honest. I hate it when women embrace their inner bitch.

What in hell gives anyone the right to inflict their inner beast on the rest of the world? We hate it when men call women bitches, so why should women prove the fucking point?

I have a theory. I think Feminism is passe. I think we've won. I think we've gotten everything the law will allow, and now it's time to pack up the charred remains of our supportive undergarments and go home.

If a man treats you badly, move the fuck on. If men treat you badly, you better quit dating and take a hard look at yourself and the type of man to which you gravitate. But don't act like the entire male gender is to blame for your shortcomings and don't think for a second that if you call yourself a bitch you will be viewed as a tough, empowered woman instead being taken directly at your word.

So, is it ok for the husband to say, "Honey I want to stay home and be your house bitch."? Just wondering, cuz all this gender bending is making me damn confussed.

Zelda, just yesterday I started a post on feminism... you have echoed some of what I was going to say (and probably still will). I get sick of all the double standards that feminism and feminist bring. I agree with you that there are too many women who whine and complain and blame everything on men. When it it their turn to stand up and take the blame for the messes they get themselves into? When are the men given a break and those who are great men, when do they get respect? Just because we are women doesn't mean we should be held higher than the men. I consider myself to be a men's right defender simply because for so long now the good men (like my husband and yours) have gotten the short end of the stick...they are lumped into a category that actually few men belong to. Most men are not pigs and women need to see that they have to take the responsiblity for their actions and shortcomings instead of blaming men all the time.

Sorry, got carried away... getting off the soap box right now :)

In general social standards are slowly being lowered. Unless you know the person the conversation, email, etc, should never include language like that. I am sure she will bring a new level of class to your client base.

Then again you can probably get an extra $50 for showing up on Springer with her.

I of course call my brother bitch all the time, but he is my brother. I would never call him bitch in front of someone I did not know unless it was one of his girlfriends. Then I would only do it to save him from another bad marriage. But that story is for another time.

You are the bomb.

That wasn't very professional of her...she could have created an account that was a bit less offensive. Geeze, commonsense is at a premium these days.

Amber - *bow* Thank you very much.

Brighton - Back attcha. ;-)

Michelle - It's not that I give men that much credit, although I do love the good ones. It's more that we sweep bad women under this umbrella of female empowerment and it makes us look foolish.

JamDaddy - Standards are being lowered, and in some ways I don't mind if they streamline things. But there is no point to this whatsoever.

Zaza - just duck when I explode.

berry - good to see you! I wasn't so much offended as I was perplexed as to why she would refer to herself in that manner. I curse good and plenty, but I am not cultivating a business relationship.

I am personally to blame for all women's shortcomings. That whole "can't kill spiders" thing? My fault. I slipped these traits in the water, thinking it was the thing to do, at the time, as an experiment... so guys, next time your woman bleats "well I shouldn't HAVE to TELL you what's wrong, you should just KNOW" ...blame me.

Nice. So, how is it my fault when my wife locks herself out of the house?

I'm failing to follow the progression here.

I feel hard core feminism has sabotaged the core family, our values and ethics.
And yeah, I'll run for cover.

crossing everything for you as Emily gets closer.. batten down them hatches and get out the waders...

Hope it loses some steam and just gives you a nice cooling shower...

I remember being in a tropical storm there in 92. We went to see Jurassic Park that night, remember all the rain in that film, then we come out and it's dark and raining just like that.

Folks were looking a little spooked.
