The Righteous Indignation of Pauliemac

I just read Pauliemac's scathing indictment of my driving abilities. I'm torn between amusement and slight annoyance. I could try to defend myself, but what is the point? I can't prove what I'm saying is true since I could very easily have made up the entire thing to begin with. I say, let he who is without moving violation cast the first stone. If that be paulimac, I will humbly acknowledge his superior driving skills and morality.

But dammit, I only got one speeding ticket. The other cop let me off.

I disagree with paulie....unless you're in a residential area, you can always get somewhere quicker than the posted speed limit says.

jp, just because you CAN does not mean you SHOULD. I live on a residential street where children play and people drive WAY over the posted speed limit (35mph). My daughter grew up on this street. I fear for those kids. Sorry, it is a pet peeve of mine.

I agree one should not speed through a residential area. However, on the open road, own it baby!

I love speeding through residential sections especially at night. It is a personal ambition of mine to nail a spandex wearing, butt-crack beaming cyclist. Their head on my wall is all I want for Christmas.

All sarcasm aside, I was on a 4-lane highway when I got my ticket. And the cop popped my ticket cherry. It was my first ticket of any kind, ever. That's probably the only reason I wrote about it.

I won't erase comments and I will try very hard to keep my very bizarre Scotch/Irish/Jewish temper in check, but I have some friendly advice for Paulie: It is not wise to write about your personal life, and then comment negatively about others'. You are inviting ridicule, scorn and censure. I will never do that because I'm a little idealistic, but there are brutal people out there who are clever, witty, and cynical, and they will cut you to ribbons.

Just keep it light and good times will be had by all.
